Our Story

A hearth that hasn't gone cold since 2019.

The beginning

Ember & Oak started with a derelict foundry on Foundry Lane and a single conviction — that fire is still the most honest way to cook. We knocked out the wall, built the hearth, and lit it before the doors had glass in them.

Six years on, the same fire burns. We break down whole animals in-house, ferment our own vinegars, and buy from growers whose names we know. Nothing leaves the pass that didn't come through the flame first.
